First-ever Sherwood local option education levy to be put to voters in May
Leaders of the Sherwood School District have agreed to send a first-of-its-kind local option levy — a money measure that is expected to generate between $6.5 million to $7.5 million for the school district over the next five years — to voters in May.
The school board unanimously approved the levy, which will cost property owners $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
