/in News/by adminThe Sherwood School District is preparing to cut more than $6 million from its budget for the 2023-24 school year if voters do not approve an operating levy on the May 16 ballot.
District administrators laid out a grim blueprint for the reductions at a school board meeting Wednesday, April 12. Those cuts are likely to affect about 50 school staff positions, including more than 30 teachers whose positions would be reduced or outright eliminated under the proposal.

First-ever Sherwood local option education levy to be put to voters in May
/in News/by adminLeaders of the Sherwood School District have agreed to send a first-of-its-kind local option levy — a money measure that is expected to generate between $6.5 million to $7.5 million for the school district over the next five years — to voters in May.
The school board unanimously approved the levy, which will cost property owners $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
